High and low
lithograph, 1947, 50.5 x 20.5 cm

In this print the same picture is presented twice over, but viewed from two different points. The upperhalf shows the view that an observer would get if he were about three storeys up; the lower half is the scene that would confront him if he were standing at ground level. If he should take his eyes off the latter and look upwards, then we would see the tiled floor on which he is standing, repeted as a ceiling in the centre of the composition. Yet this acts as a floor for the upper scene.

Here a tracking shot representing some children games: ferris wheel, swing and so on. Each of these games contemplates some movements concerning the high and low in which the child is rocked.

"Hunting High and Low", Coldplay

Here, I am
And beyond the reach of my hands
She's sound asleep
And she's sweet another know why
These dreams could've seen her
And I watched her slipping away
And I know I'll be hunting high and low
High...
There's no end to the lengths I'll go to
High and low
High...
There's no end to the lengths I'll go to
Find her again
Upon this my dreams are depending
Through the dark
I can hear the pounding of her heart
Next to mine
She's the sweetest love I could find
So I know I'll be hunting high and low
High...
There's no end to the lengths I'll go to
High and low
High...
Do you know how it feels to love you?
Do you know how it feels to love you?

Staircase, the storage system in vertical by Danny Kuo

The most efficient way to build is vertically.Building vertically saves space as it uses minimal ground square meters. When it comes to interior design, the same rule can be applied. By focusing on height rather than width, efficient storage designs can be created. However, high storage designs can create a new problem because the higher storage parts will be difficult to reach. My Staircase is a shelving unit that combines a bookshelf with a pullout stair system in the bottom three shelves. The shelving unit is 2.6 meters high and the top shelves are accessible by using the bottom shelves as steps for accessing the higher shelves.

An high tiger with a low boy

Calvin and Hobbes is a syndicated daily comic strip written and illustrated by American cartoonist Bill Watterson. It follows the humorous antics of Calvin, a precocious and adventurous six-year-old boy, and Hobbes, his sardonic stuffed tiger. The pair are named after John Calvin, a 16th-century French Reformation theologian, and Thomas Hobbes, a 17th-century English political philosopher.
Calvin and Hobbes is set in the contemporary Midwestern United States in an unspecified suburban community. The strip depicts Calvin's flights of fantasy and his friendship with Hobbes, and also examines Calvin's relationships with family and classmates.

heels?!-鞋跟?!

Only for women?

Elizabeth Semmelhack, curator for the Bata Shoe Museum, traces the high heel to male horse-riding warriors in the East who used high heels for functionality, because they help hold the rider's foot in stirrups. She states that the earliest high heel she has seen is depicted on a 9th century on a ceramic bowl from Persia.

Since the late 18th century, men's shoes have had primarily low heels. A notable exception is cowboy boots, which continue to sport a taller riding heel. The two-inch Cuban heel features in many styles of men's boot, but was popularised by Beatle boots, famously worn by the English rock group, The Beatles, which saw the reintroduction of heels for men which some men still wear high heels today . Winklepicker boots also usually feature a Cuban heel. There was also a brief resurgence in higher-heeled shoes for men in the 1970s (in Saturday Night Fever, John Travolta's character wears a Cuban heel in the opening sequence). The singer Prince is known to wear high heels, as well as Elton John. Bands such as Mötley Crüe and Sigue Sigue Sputnik predominantely wore high heels during the 1980s. Currently being worn by Bill Kaulitz, the lead singer of Tokio Hotel, are wedges.

the highest man in the world-世界上最高的人

Zhan Shi Chai ( 詹世钗),
was a Chinese giant who toured the world as "Chang the Chinese Giant" in the 19th century. He  was born in Fuzhou in what is now Fujian Province in the 1840s, though reports of the year vary from 1841 to 1847. His height was claimed to be over 8 feet (2.4 m), but there are no authoritative records. He left China in 1865 to travel to London where he appeared on stage, later travelling around Europe, and to the US and Australia as "Chang the Chinese Giant". Zhan received a good education in various countries, and developed a good understanding of ten languages. In America, he earned a salary of $500 a month.

Kin Foo, the Chinese wife who accompanied Zhan from China, died in 1871, and Zhan later married Catherine Santley, a Liverpudlian whom he met in Sydney, Australia. They had two children: Edwin, born in 1877 in Shanghai, and Ernest, born in 1879 in Paris.

In 1878, Zhan retired from the stage and settled in Bournemouth, where he opened a Chinese teahouse and a store selling Chinese imports.

Zhan died in Bournemouth in 1893, four months after his wife, aged around 50. His coffin was 8 feet 6 inches (2.6 m) long.

Direct-reading decibel meter: 4000463-直读分贝计:4000463

Description of the patent:

The decibel meter is the perfect example of how a sound can be high or low intensity. Tomeasure this intensity using a special instrument called a SPL-meter. It measures thesignal strength in audio equipment and the value in Volume Units. Sound level meters measure sound pressure level and are commonly used in noise pollution studies for the quantification of almost any noise, but especially for industrial, environmental and aircraft noise. However, the reading given by a sound level meter does not correlate well to human-perceived loudness; for this a loudness meter is needed.

ancient chinese mythology -中国古代神话

The Beginning of the World Pangu -盘古开天辟地
The sky and the earth were at first one blurred entity like an egg. Then Pangu was born into it. The separation of the sky and the earth took eighteen thousand years. Between the sky and the land there was Pangu, who went through nine changes every day, his wisdom greater than that of the sky and his ability greater than that of the earth. Every day the sky rose ten feet higher, the earth became ten feet thicker, and Pangu grew ten feet taller.
Another eighteen thousand years passed, and there was an extremely high sky, an extremely thick earth, and an extremely tall Pangu. After Pangu died, his head turned into the Five Sacred Mountains (Mount Tai, Mount Heng, Mount Hua, Mount Heng, Mount Song), his eyes turned into the moon and the sun, his blood changed into water in river and sea, his hair into grass. In all, the universe and Pangu combine in one.
